Celebrate Juneteenth with us on Morris Bicentennial Plaza! Join us on June 17 for a pregame Juneteenth Celebration, presented in partnership with Indy Juneteenth, before the Indiana Fever take on the Connecticut Sun.

This free, family-friendly event honors the rich history, art, and culture of Juneteenth with a vibrant mix of live music, food samples, local vendors, and interactive educational activities, including:

• Live music from The Downstroke Band, a soulful Black band with legendary local roots. 
• Bite sized samples from local Black food vendors that bring Juneteenth traditions to life. 
• The Black Worldschoolers Mobile Bookstore featuring stories that educate, uplift, and celebrate Black culture. 
• A special pregame appearance from Freddy Fever.

We’re proud to partner with The Give and Grow, a womxn-led initiative rooted in community, wellness, and the love of basketball. Known for their beautifully curated NBA-themed planters and commitment to youth development, The Give and Grow will be on-site selling their branded planters. The first 50 guests who purchase a planter will receive a free small plant to symbolize growing something meaningful this Juneteenth.
