Celebrating 200 Years of Unity in Indianapolis

Open daily from dawn until dusk, Bicentennial Unity Plaza is an inspiring public space that marks a momentous milestone in the history of our beloved city! Located in the heart of downtown Indianapolis, this plaza will serve as a beacon of unity, commemorating the City's first 200 years while embracing the promise of a vibrant future. 

The plaza will become a focal point for gatherings, offering a space where all residents and visitors will be greeted by captivating landscapes & art installations and, of course, a basketball court for some friendly competition!

During the winter, our basketball court transforms into the Elevance Health Rink. We loved welcoming guests during our inaugural ice skating season, and are excited to create more magical winter memories in the future!

Bicentennial Unity Plaza opens to the public with four days of free events beginning Thursday, August 24! The outdoor space will be home to year-round planned events surrounded by interactive and community-inspired elements. Come see it for yourself!
